Dress Up For Book Day Friday 22nd August.

Our Book Week was a hit! We kicked off with teachers sharing their favourite stories, inviting students to different classes each day to listen to these beloved tales. The excitement reached its peak on Friday when students arrived dressed as their favourite book characters. From wizards and witches to Minecraft characters, the playground was filled with creativity and fun. It was fantastic to see the enthusiasm of all the students as they paraded around the school, and the parent support made it even more special. Book Week truly brought our love for stories to life!

JJ61 The Invisible Force of Magnets

Reading group Harakeke have been learning about the invisible force of magnets. They have had lots of opportunities to explore and do investigations with magnets. This was a really fun and engaging activity. Students learnt that different sized magnets have stronger and weaker magnetic forces.  Students learnt that the magnets have a north pole and south pole, that you cannot put two of the same ends together as they repel each other. If the opposite ends meet they attract each other.

Students also had opportunities to investigate the magnets, make predictions then check their predictions to see if they were right.
